Viktor Blom Wins Two SCOOP Titles In Two Days
For many people, winning a SCOOP title is a dream the likes of which is unlikely to ever really happen. For Viktor Blom – who isn’t like many people, it has to be said – it has seemingly now become a regular occurrence after he took two gongs on consecutive nights.
The young Swedish player got his 2012 SCOOP series off to a phenomenal start by capturing the $215 NLHE title in event #2, where he outlasted the challenge of 8,239 other runners as an impressive performance from start to finish saw him take down the $247,200 1st prize.
For many players, that would be their lot for the series – but not Blom, however, who was back on the horse the very next day in the $500 buy-in 6-max action hour rebuy tournament, where he amazingly repeated the feat to bag a further prize of $160,000 and his second SCOOP title.
Naturally, Blom’s impressive double has marked him out as the early pacesetter in the overall SCOOP leaderboard, with the Swede sat some 55 points ahead of second placed “joacowalter” from Uruguay on an impressive 210 points even at this early stage of the bumper tournament series.
However, Blom will have to stay on his game to maintain his position as there’s still plenty more of the 2012 SCOOP series to come – and you too could be the one to knock the online phenom off his pedestal given you can satellite into all SCOOP events for a fraction of the price at PokerStars.com.
