WSOP Update: $10,000 Heads-Up NLHE Reaches Semi-Finals

Day 2 of the $10,000 Heads-Up NLHE Championship event drew to a close last night with 28 of the remaining 32 runners falling by the wayside as the field was whittled down to a final four bracelet-chasing semi-finalists.

Tommy Chen, Jason Mo, Brock Parker and Brian Hastings are the four players still left in contention and though the semi-final draw has not yet been made, each of them will fancy their chances of going all the way and claiming the $371,498 prize.

Day 3 saw the tournament lose a host of exciting players as notables like Tommy Vedes, Eric Froehlich, Antonio Esfandiari, Vanessa Selbst and Andrew Robl all hit the rail at various stages before the close of play, leaving the semis a very open and even affair.

Another tournament taking place today will be the $1,500 Six-Handed NLHE event, which will kick off this afternoon and play through Friday and Saturday in order to find a winner – and with the format incredibly popular among the big-name pros, expect an all-star turnout and bumper prize pool.
