Fox Poker Club Set To Host 2012 English Poker Open
Popular London card room the Fox Poker Club has announced that it will be hosting the 2012 English Poker Open when the increasingly prestigious event returns to the capital once more in September.
Established in 2009, the RakeTheRake.com sponsored poker tournament is rapidly becoming one of Europe’s most anticipated events and the last time the EPO visited London, it attracted over 200 runners and generated a prize pool in excess of $1 million.
As such, this year’s incarnation of the tournament – which will take place at the Shaftesbury Avenue based venue from 18-21 September – is likely to attract another all-star line-up that will feature the biggest names in poker from the UK and Europe and another life-changing prize for the winner.
“We know that the English Poker Open and Fox Poker Club are a perfect partnership, bringing such an exciting tournament to the West End's only venue dedicated to poker is a great opportunity for everyone,” said Simon Tomsett, London Poker Manager for Genting Casinos in a press release.
“We are looking forward to repeating the success of the EPO this year when all eyes are on our nation's capital. We will to continue to build the reputation of the country as a real player in the international poker scene.”
