Poker Pros Set To Sell Shares In Big One For One Drop
With the $1 million buy-in Big One For One Drop tournament just days away, several pros such as Daniel Negreanu, Andrew Robl and Antonio Esfandiari have been busy showing off their entry tickets while others have announced their intentions to sign up.
However, with such a hefty sum of money required to enter the event, as you’d well imagine many players are reluctant to commit to the tournament until they can share some of the burden by selling off pieces of their action to friends and interested parties.
Among them are Jason Mercier, Ben Lamb and Phil Hellmuth, who have all taken to Twitter recently to try and sell pieces of their action, but as of yet Mercier is the only one of the three to have officially registered for the event and is prepared to play no matter what.
Mercier and Lamb are selling of the last remaining bits of their action at a price of 1.1 per share, while Hellmuth has announced that he needs to sell $400k’s worth of action if he is to participate in the event and would ideally like to shift a large $50k share to an individual backer.
As of yesterday, 42 players have now confirmed their place in the Big One For One Drop and the final list of participants should be available by Saturday. The tournament itself starts at 1.11pm PST in the Amazon Room of the Rio Convention Center this Sunday.
