Konstantin Puchkov Favourite to Win WSOP Most Cashes

Moscow-born WSOP gold bracelet winner Konstantin Puchkov is currently in the lead with the most cashes at this year’s World Series, and is said to be a clear favourite to surpass the al- time record of ten cashes before the summer is out.

Puchkov secured his ninth cash in Event #46, the $2,500 No-Limit Hold’em, placing him one ahead of Terrence Chan with eight cashes. The Canadian poker player-cum-MMA fighter was the previous frontrunner but Puchkov looks determined to keep the record in Russia. The late Nikolay Evdakov, also from Russia, is the current record holder, having cashed ten times at the 2008 WSOP.

With 15 gold bracelet events remaining at the World Series and seven more added in Europe, there are in fact several players who could reach or surpass Evdakov’s 2008 record but Chan and Puchkov remain clear favourites.
