It’s Official: Elisabeth Hille Signs For Betfair
As reported on this site on Monday, Norwegian poker player Elisabeth Hille has signed for Befair.
The 26-year-old player, who was one of the last two women standing in this year’s World Series of Poker Main Event, put pen to paper in a deal that will see her represent the site at all future events.
Hille will now join a roster of Team Betfair pros that includes John Tabatabai, Hans Martin Vogl, Peter Eastgate and fellow new signing Jon Driscoll as the official ambassador for the site in Norway.
Rumours that Hille was on the verge of agreeing terms with the site surfaced during her remarkable Main Event run, which the full-time waitress ultimately finish in 11th place for a massive $590,422.
Amazingly, she had only entered the event due to her boyfriend Harald Olson – a fellow Betfair player – cashing in the $1,000 buy-in NLHE event for $20,700 and giving her half of his winnings.
While it may have initially seemed like a bad beat to Olson, his better half certainly repaid the favour and then some with her deep Main Event run and the pair now have one more reason to celebrate.
