Venetian Opens New Poker Room
Having yesterday reported on the closure of the Jamie Gold Poker Room at the Tropicana Las Vegas, the poker scene in Sin City was delivered a timely boost with the news that the Venetian has opened a new card room of their own.
The brand new Sands Poker Room at The Venetian will officially become the largest poker room on the Strip given that it boasts 59 tables spread across a 14,000 square feet of plush floor space and the new venue looks set to become one of the poker hubs of the city.
“The new Sands Poker Room at The Venetian is a player’s room in every way,” said Kathy Raymond, the Venetian’s executive director of poker operations. “We have carefully integrated new poker room features and services; keeping poker player needs front-of-mind.”
Naturally, to celebrate the official opening of the new room the Venetian will be offering a number of promotions throughout September, with rake-free tables from 10-11am and 5-6pm every Sunday through Thursday as part of the Venetian Happy hour and a bad beat jackpot from 17 September.
The Sands Poker Room at The Venetian will also be launching a celebratory “Grand Opening Event”, details of which will be announced on the venue’s website later this month.
