WPT round-up: Winners to scoop $818,847 at WPT Borgata and €120,000 in Malta

Two WPT tournaments are taking place concurrently right now, one each side of the pond. In the USA at the Borgata Poker Open in Atlantic City, 1,181 players bought-in, busted and re-entered to create a prize pool of $3,897,300. Of that $818,847 will go to the winner, whilst 110 players will win at least $7,070. Looking most likely to scoop the top prize right now is Brian Lemke with leads the 625 or so entrants who made Day 2. Notables who’ve made it through include: Kyle Bowker, Jeff Madesn, Cliff Josephy and WPT’s Mike Sexton.

Meanwhile in Malta, 105 players entered Day 1B to take the total entrants to 169. The winner will take home €120,000 and 21 players will bank a minimum of €5,240. Whilst some eyes were on the Tony G and Phil Hellmuth triathlon, there was some competitive action on the felt too. When play was done Jackson Genovesi was the man in charge with Casper Toft, Stevan Sudar and Andrea Dato well placed going into Day 2.

Live reporting on both events can be found here.
