US Site FeltStars Ceases To Operate
Poker players in the U.S. will be ruing the fact that they have one less American-facing website to play on after it became apparent that Feltstars.com had ceased operating in the country.
Earlier this week, players at FeltStars.com received an email from the site stating: “The entire FeltStars Team would like to thank all of our loyal players for the years you have played on FeltStars. We are saddened to announce that we will be leaving online poker and no longer offer this service.”
The site has not as yet given any reason as to why they have decided to close their doors to customers, but they did reassure players who do still have money on FeltStars.com that they would have the option to transfer their funds to any of the other 70 sites on the Merge Gaming Network.
In order to do this players just need to create an account on one of the other Merge skins and then email customer support to arrange the transfer or – if they already have an existing account elsewhere on the Merge network – simply email Merge Gaming and pass on the relevant details.
However, while that sounds straightforward enough, former FeltStars.com pro Chris “Fox” Wallace took to his blog at PokerXFactor to open up about the site, saying: “Getting paid was impossible. All kinds of shady things popped up about the site in the past and I couldn’t get anything done.”
