Tomaz Kogovsek leads WPT Vienna final table
The €1,100 No Limit Hold'em event WPT National at the Montesino Casino in Vienna has reached the final table and it’s Tomaz Kogovsek from Slovenia who leads the way with just eight players remaining. There are players from seven different nations at the final table, like Kogovsek, Blaz Svara is from Slovenia, whilst there’s one representative each from Germany, Austria, Israel, Czech Republic, Hungary and Montenegro.
Seventy-six players returned at the start of Day 2, 36 of whom would make the money. They included Party Poker Pro Bodo Sbrzeesny, however he was eliminated when his aces were cracked by a pair of queens that made a straight.
There was a double bubble as Emil Hegedus lost a flip with ace-king against queens and Thomas Duta was eliminated by Thomas Mühlöcker.
The final table starts at 2pm local time, the winner of WPT Vienna will pocket €60,600 and the remaining players are all guaranteed a minimum payout of €8,100. Chip counts and seat draw of the final eight is as below, blinds will be 8,000 – 16,000 ante 2,000 when play resumes.
