Issac Haxton joins Team PokerStars Online
Yesterday PokerStars announced that Issac ‘Ike’ Haxton is the latest member of Team PokerStars Online. In a couple of video teasers the site had revealed two clues to his identity this week – Randy Lew told us that, like him, the new member had gone deep at the PCA and Daniel Negreanu sung a rendition of Toni Braxton’s ‘Unbreak my heart.’
Mercilessly there was no third clue – perhaps Barry Greenstein singing ‘Soul Man’ by Issac Hayes – just an announcement that Haxton, who finished second in the PCA Main Event in 2007, was the newest member of Team PokerStars Online.
The American, who now resides in Malta, has racked up over $4,000,000 in lifetime winnings in tournaments, but it’s high stakes cash games that’s he’s best known for. He took on Isildur three times in the Isildur challenge, winning twice and losing once and is a regular in the high stakes games on PokerStars.
"Ike Haxton is one of online poker's greatest ambassadors, and he chose to sign with Team Online because he has always believed in PokerStars as a great poker company," said PokerStars' Team Online manager Dustin Iannotti. "I'm thrilled to have him on the team."
